The Hope Hose Company would like to recognize the voice behind our Communications System here in Clinton County, April 10th through the 16th marks National Telecommunicator’s Week recognizing Real First Responders who handle emergency and non emergency communications from their facility located in Flemington.
These individuals are a phone call away during someone’s most dire times and handle themselves with true professionalism. Often times dispatchers are unaware of how call is resolved, though they are the first ones who receive the initial 911 call. They dispatch officers to scenes, and feel the pain and guilt when something tragic happens. Some of them hear the last words of officers or firefighters before their deaths, or the dispatchers voices are the last ones those officers or firefighters hear.
