Coming to Hope Hose Company #2 in September of 2014, Matthew Rodgers has served with a neighboring Fire Service for the last six years and has, and currently serves with Lock Haven Emergency Medical Services since 2001. Matt moved to the Lock Haven area in 2001 from Broom County New York where he started his Emergency Services career with the Union Volunteer Emergency Squad as an Explorer when his neighbor, the Deputy Chief of the service invited him for a ride along… he was hooked!
Graduating from the Pennsylvania College of Technology Paramedic program in 2008 and obtaining his Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician at the Paramedic Level he has continued his education in Emergency Services by obtaining many certifications at the state level.
Serving as the company’s first Safety Officer in several years, Matt looks forward to the challenges this position will create as well as working with the other Officers and Staff and mold this program to meet the needs of the Company.
When not volunteering with Hope HoseCompany #2, he is working as a Dispatch Supervisor with the Clinton County Department of Emergency Services.
