…FROST ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 9 AM EDT
FRIDAY…

The National Weather Service in State College has issued a Frost
Advisory, which is in effect from midnight tonight to 9 AM EDT
Friday.

* TEMPERATURES…Temperatures will fall into the mid and upper 30s
around midnight tonight, then settle into the low to mid 30s for
up to several hours around sunrise Friday. If skies remain
clear throughout the night, some of the typically colder rural
areas will see temperatures as cold as 30 degrees.

* TIMING…Areas of frost will form first in the colder rural
valleys around midnight, then expand across the Advisory area
through the predawn hours.

* IMPACTS…Damage to sensitive vegetation and potted plants.

Those with agricultural or gardening interests should protect
sensitive vegetation. Potted plants should be brought indoors.

Advisory, which is in effect from 2 AM to 9 AM EDT Tuesday.

* TEMPERATURES…Falling into the upper 30s by shortly after
midnight, then reaching lows in the low to mid 30s in most
places between 5 AM and 730 AM Tuesday.

* TIMING…Frost will form around 2 AM and persist until around 9
AM Tuesday.

* IMPACTS…Damage to crops and potted plants.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Those with agricultural or gardening interests should protect
sensitive vegetation. Potted plants should be brought indoors.

Company to Host Fall Poker Run

On October 29th, 2017 the Hope Hose Company will be hosting our first ever Motorcycle Poker Run.

Join us for a 73 Mile Ride through the Pennsylvania Wilds beginning and ending in Downtown Lock Haven.

ALL proceeds raised go to the Hope Hose Company #2.

Registration from 10:30 AM to 12:00 Noon

Last bike needs to be back by 6:00 PM

RAIN or SHINE – the ride goes on!

$15.00 registration fee – per person

Two bonus cards can be purchased at the end of the ride for $5 each.

A Picnic style meal will be provided at the end of the ride and winners will be announced

1st Prize – $100, 2nd Prize – $50, Worst Hand – $25

Small Games of Chance will be sold before and after the ride

Ride stop locations are subject to change prior to the event

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…

  Centre County in central Pennsylvania…

  Clinton County in north central Pennsylvania…
* Until 645 PM EDT
* At 451 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line

  extending from near Emporium to Prince Gallitzin State Park, moving

  east at 35 mph.
  HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts.
  SOURCE…Radar indicated.
  IMPACT…Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
* Locations impacted include…

  State College, Bellefonte, Lock Haven, Monument, Glen Union,

  Flemington, Pine Grove Mills, Houserville, McElhattan and Millheim.
For those driving on Interstate 80, this includes areas between the

Kylertown and Mile Run exits, specifically from mile markers 139 to

194.
This includes Interstate 99 from mile markers 56 to 85.
