Perhaps more important than fire fighting Fire fighters are trained in basic fire prevention methods, and the Hope Hose Company attempts to preform inspections within its primary First Due Engine coverage area in which they attempt to prevent or correct unsafe conditions.
The Hope Hose Company directs fire prevention activities preforming contracted building inspections, hosting school trips as well as traveling to area facilities to provide instruction to individuals of all ages on fire safety, fire extinguisher training, and general fire service information.
